Poem 2.22.22 – See Me Whole, Not as a Hunk

Interactions of masculine life.

Sown.
Hard.
Ripe.
Cleansed.

See me different.
Sown into a tie
and suit
for the night,
and masked.

See me different.
Sown onto
a monolith
pressed against
a hard place,
a similar ceiling,
and a rock.

See me, I’m different.
tell by the distress
and the the gash, broad
and red-open.

Tugging at seams,
beating off what seems
and shedding.

Fabrics playing
quilted
quicker-picker
upper with body, blood
and flesh.

Sea me, I’m different.
Seamless and unmasked
and diving.

After a salt bath
all memory
of monolith
and man dissolve,
and scars.

All sown things eventually
paint deep
and fated images.

Hard and masked;
scab to scar.

Pierced.
Tender.
Pruned.
Healed.

Nothing is missing Man as knows nothing See me whole,Knowing missing. See me different
